Taylor's Lakeside Open Day! |
Yay! Okay as I mentioned before, I signed up for the Taylor's Lakeside Open Day and it was
Amazing. There's cool places everywhere, it's huge, the architecture is gorgeous, it's absolutely a place that I want to spend time on. Oh there's ducks living there. Seriously how many campus do you think that there's ducks living there.
The ducks are even laying eggs there. There's going to be a Ducky paradise soon~ =)) Cool right?
Don't judge me! Ducks are cute. Especially rubber duckies.
And the rest of the duckies. Maybe they're male and female and they'll mate sometimes and have babies as well. So the one laying eggs first will be the first wife and the second one will be his erm...second wife. Hmm...complicated family matters.

Once we reach our destination, they straight away give us coupons for food and drinks to fill our growling stomachs. It tokk us about 3 hours plus plus to get there from JB. Quite far but yeah it's still ok I guess. And it's totally worth the time. RM5 for food and RM2 for drinks. There's only 2 stores working. The rest were closed. With no reasons. So the food of one of the open store are all RM8++. Everyone gave up after they saw the price tag. Haha! So we went to Mamak one. The rice smelled good. But I didn't get the fried rice and the curry. Haih. In the end I got the mamee soup and my friends got fried mamee. It ain't good. Don't go there. Thumbs down for these. For beverages, I don't recommend honey lemon as it doesn't have any honey flavour in it and it doesn't taste like lemon too so, it's bad. But their Iced lemon tea is nice. But if you ain't a sweet biased person, don't order that ice lemon tea, it'll disgust you. I'm serious.

Celine looks angry...but no worries she doesn't read my blog much...sad case.
And this up here is the name of the food court.
After that we gather and there's a general briefing session for us to understand more about Taylor's University as well as Taylor's College. The erm... I have no idea what should I call him as but he's Mr. Patrick. Yeah. I'm a lazy bum so I'll just put a horizontal picture of him. Sorry. And there'sMadam Wong who is really friendly and I'm quite comfortable with her even though I didn't talked to her. Not even once but still I like her. =))
And after that, we went for a campus tour for like an hour or so. A on-duty student I think took us around and showed us the enormous library, the lake, the car park, the office, the computer lab, the restaurants, the gym, the dorm show room, the shops and he showed us the ducks. Oh did I mention that the ducks are super cute ? =)) and I love them? Hah! Don't judge me.
As for the campus tour, their campus is not as huge as you know, like Oxford University or Harvard University or like erm..University of Southern California or so, but it is considered quite big. Quite. So, Taylor's has a super duper huge library. 4 levels. Awesome right? ahaha. But I've seen even more bigger ones. But compare it with the library of myy high school, it was way way way more beyond freaking awesome. There's also a mac computer lab as well as Dell computer lab. There's not much computers there but usually students bring their own laptops. moreover, there's discussion room, event hall, 24 hours study area in the library. We went to the lakeside and watch the ducks laying eggs and swimming around, we went to the gym but we can't take photos of the gym so, no photos for that. And upstairs has a sorta like dancing room but it's not for dancing, it's for aerobic or something like that just for workouts. And swimming pool and lounge just next to the gym. The lounge was really nice. It makes you feel cozy and wanna hang out there all day long. The dorm there is quite cozy and warm but it's really pricey. Rooms for rent outside campus is much more cheaper and it's even bigger. So dorm not recommended. Then we went to the errr erm errr and oh yeah there's this restaurant where the Culinary arts students serves you. Heard that their food was absolutely delicious and it's not very expensive...I heard. It's like having foods in a 5 star hotel restaurant but with a much more cheaper price. Cool huh. Yeah I would very much like to go there and try that out. There's also loads of restaurants like Old Town Coffee, Starbucks, Seven Eleven and many many more. Then it's counselling session. Where someone will answer to all your questions. You can ask any question you're confused about and what you wanted to know more about. All of them students, professors are really friendly. They do whatever they can to help you understand more about literally everything. Of course it's just about the course and school related stuff. Nothing personal. And after that I bought some ddukbokki from a restaurant and it was super delicious. Seriously. But the picture looks...kinda...disgusting. so...sorry about that but it really is nice. Liked. So here's these photos. There's a lot of them.
